Cecilia Ensemble Spring 2025

The Cecilia Ensemble is the region's premier high school treble ensemble performing locally, regionally, and internationally. Singers who wish to advance their singing skills and
dive deeply into the heart of music are
encouraged to audition for the Cecilia Ensemble.

The choir is comprised of young musicians who are also
athletes, volunteers, book worms, straight, gay, queer, black, brown,
white, trans, skinny, fat, wealthy, and poor. GMYC is a bully-free zone.

Cecilia Ensemble singers are dedicated to learning to refining healthy breathing, posture & singing techniques. They improve music reading skills, experiment with vocal improvisation, develop advanced listening skills, work toward music reading mastery, build self-confidence, leadership & musical independence, perform in unison to 8- part harmonies, and above all sing with heart.

Cecilia Ensemble performs sacred and secular, medieval to modern,
classical, folk, gospel, and non-traditional modern music in English and
foreign languages, and tours locally, regionally and internationally.
